Cells of the immune system defend against a variety of insults, including infection by pathogens. However, increasing evidence has revealed that immune cells also play essential roles in development, tissue repair, and the maintenance of homeostasis. Our lab seeks to understand these non-canonical functions of immune cells and to define how they influence health and disease development.
